Rochester Bus Times

We will be leaving for Rochester's Track Meet very early on Saturday, March 31st. The busses will pick students up at the High School at 6:45 and the Jr. High at 7:00. Please make sure your child is at the school on time, we will not be able to wait if you are late.

3/29 Meet

Our meet for tonight 3/29 at Turner has been cancelled due to the rain. I will let you know as soon as I know if we are rescheduling or not. No practice tonight, but we will practice on Friday!

First Track Meet

I just got home from our first track meet and am so excited about this season. We had a good showing from our athletes. I know some of you are very happy with your times/distances and some of you are not. Either way, we have a lot of work to do. The possibilities are endless if you are willing to continue working, and I know you are!! Can't wait until Thursday...Turner....here we come!!!

First to the Finish - Spike Truck

First to the Finish (www.fttf.com) is a sports equipment company stationed in Carlinville, IL. This company is bringing over a truck full of spikes for the kids to look at and buy if they chooses. The truck will come to track practice at 4:30 on Monday, March 19th. If you or your athlete are interested in spikes, please come look at the shoes available on the truck. You are NOT obligated to buy anything, this is just a good opportunity to try on spikes before you buy them. They have told us that they will bring some of their clearance spikes, so prices should be very reasonable.

Practice

We will have practice every night after school until 4:30 at the track field. The location of practice may be moved to the school if it is raining or too cold to be outside. If practice is being canceled we will let the kids know as soon as we make the decisions.

"Under Armour"

We have asked the track team to wear WHITE "under armour" under their track uniform if they are going to wear anything. The reason for this is relay teams must match uniforms. When we have to make adjustments to relays and move athletes around, we need to be able to switch without concern for the color of their "under armour". Students may be asked to fill in or trade places through out the year, and we do not want parents to have to purchase new "under armour" or the athlete to have to go without and be cold. By no means is the "under armour" required, athletes may always go without anything under their uniform.

Track 2012
